Abandonment

Abandonment is a series that I made in during my first film photography class in 2008. All photographs were made with a 35mm camera. I developed the film and printed the photographs in the classic black and white darkroom. The series is a collection of photographs taken of a town called, Vaughn, in New Mexico. The town has mostly been deserted. It represents our history of the American Dream. Starting out as a location for a train stop. That presence of the past, the decay, was very enticing for my mind's eye.
